This is a voluntary role and would suit women looking to contribute to the ACT community to address domestic and family violence, while meaningfully applying their governance and finance experience. The incoming Treasurer will be supported through a handover process with the current occupant of the position. The following skills are essential for the role: ● Financial management, interpreting and evaluating financial documents and providing financial guidance ● Effective communication skills to convey financial concepts and information ● Strategic thinking skills, guiding advice on the organisation’s financial position and options ● Strong relationship management skills The following skills and/or experience would be viewed favourably: ● Accounting or bookkeeping skills ● Corporate or public sector finance and/or governance experience ● Company Directors Course qualifications.
