Bucklands Residential Care offers high quality residential care services, and embraces a healthy ageing philosophy, with resident’s quality of life measured using a World Health Organization assessment tool.

We’re looking for someone with a basic understanding of dementia and the challenges faced by older people who live with dementia. The volunteer would have time available to spend with the residents providing one on one support or small group activities with the aim of forming a connection and build a mutually rewarding relationship. This volunteer position would best suit those with clear communication skills and high levels of patience and empathy for those living with dementia.

All volunteers require a current National Police Certificate for the Purpose of Aged Care and evidence of the annual influenza vaccination.
