The Organisation:Cure Cancer is dedicated entirely to funding early career cancer researchers. We identify, assess, and fund the research that we believe has the best possible chance of finding a cure. Most importantly, we fund research for ALL cancers. One Australian dies every 12 minutes from Cancer. We can change this, but only through research. Our vision is to make this the last generation to die from cancer. We have come a long way, raising $66.2m and funding over 500 research grants to date. We will not stop until we eliminate cancer for good. The Role:The Regional Events Manager Volunteer role is ideal for an individual with past events management experience looking to apply their skills to make a difference. The main responsibility of this role is to be the spokesperson for Cure Cancer at large scale community events when the fundraising team cannot be present.

This role also involves researching and outsourcing new events within the state, looking for any new opportunities and potential partnerships for the charity.

Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the fundraising team to research partnership opportunities at large scale events within the state - Represent Cure Cancer as the event manager and spokesperson at events when Cure Cancer staff cannot be present - Recruit and manage a team of volunteers to help at large scale community events Build relationships with stakeholders and other partners at events for future opportunities
