Since the early 1900s, UnitingCare has been helping people across Queensland and the Northern Territory live life in all its fullness. Every day we’re engaging with people from all walks of life and our focus is on meeting people where they are and walking alongside them to achieve positive change and growth. We are currently looking for volunteers who are trustworthy, outgoing, fun, care for those who are struggling to cope and would like to use their great customer service skills to make shopping a pleasure for our customers.

This volunteer opportunity will assist with the processing, sorting and distribution of donated items in order to supply quality and site-specific items to Lifeline Shops.

At our stores, your time is valued so if you can do one or two 4 hour shifts per week or fortnight on any day Wednesday to Sunday we would love to hear from you.

Tasks involved include:

• Sorting stock.
• Labeling and pricing stock.
• Working on shop floor.
• Assisting customers.

This is a great opportunity to:

• Build a resume portfolio.
• Enjoy social interaction with others.
• To meet mutual obligations, student placement hours or other requirements.

Training is provided.
