Uniting Victoria And Tasmania
Logo for Uniting Victoria And Tasmania

Annie* lives in Sunshine and is looking for a volunteer who enjoys doing puzzles, gardening and going out for lunch to encourage her to achieve her social goals. A fondness for dogs and cats is a must!

The best suited to support Annie will be easily engaged in conversation, and have a healthy sense of humour. You'll need the ability to creatively reconnect Annie with the things she enjoys. Practical communication skills and a willingness to share both home and community-based visits including going out for coffee or lunch is essential. Your own vehicle will be required to transport Annie* on outings.

During these challenging times we need volunteers more than ever to support our clients to help ease social isolation. If you would like to give back and volunteer with Uniting and help those in need in our community we would love to hear from you!

*Please note that during COVID-19 this role will commence over the phone, which will enable you to establish rapport and connection with Annie and enable her to stay connected to the community.

Valid Victorian drivers license necessary. The skills and confidence to work independently are a must. Induction, ongoing supervision and opportunities for professional development provided. *Participant's name has been altered to maintain her privacy.

Interested? For further information, please contact 13 93 75 and quote BK-W-07.
