AOD Policy & Procedure Writer (2 month project)

The Salvation Army Australia
Logo for The Salvation Army Australia

Bring your policy writing skills to a project which will play a direct part in effectively managing participants’ recovery in our positive AOD Withdrawal Management Units. By unifying and updating existing policies and procedures into a cohesive multi-site resource, your policy writing skills and efforts will bring consistent guidance to the work of our clinical team.

This project will see you initially contacting Withdrawal Management Unit team leaders across Queensland via phone, teleconference and email. Once you have received a collection of site policies and procedures, in collaboration with the team leaders, you’ll use your critical skills and experience to distill what is current and usable, versus what needs to be updated or discontinued. You’ll then bring all these pieces together to create a framework of renewed policies to inform logical, clear and consistent procedures, all the while consulting with dedicated staff who’ll guide you along the way.

This is the ideal opportunity to volunteer your skills and experience, calling on your:·

  • clear and logical writing skills
  • attention to detail, with an emphasis on consistency
  • ability to interpret varied information and sources
  • excellent time management skills
  • positive and collaborative team spirit
  • valuing of the mission of The Salvation Army.

If you have these skills and experience and are passionate about making a positive impact, we’d love to hear from you.

**NOTE:**This is a work from home opportunity or there’s option to work from a Salvation Army site – depending on location and circumstance. Commencement date from 20th July 2020.
