By assisting us to provides programs and activities to people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities our volunteer will work in the front office. In this position you are the smiling and friendly face of our Community Centre. The Reception Volunteer assists in general office duties as requested which may include computer work and assistance.

Your role is to greet visitors and address their inquiry.

  • respond to phones and check messages
  • record, distribute and assist with all mail outs
  • keep accurate record of payments and write receipts
  • take class booking
  • assist staff with room hire queries and bookings
  • contact students as requested
  • photocopying
  • respond to queries and provide relevant information relating to NHH
  • ensure kitchen and public areas are tidy and welcoming and replenish supplies
  • assist with cleaning and sanitising of all areas of the building
  • assist staff to open up and secure building
  • keep accurate records for database and update mailing list.
