Our Upper Ross Kids Club provides a space for the Upper Ross Kids to relax and unwind after school on Tuesdays. We have many children come to the centre after school, so we developed this Kids Club to give them something constructive to do, as an alternative to playing computer games.

We have lots and lots of resources available for the children including arts and crafts, games and toys. We provide science based activities and opportunities to learn through play.

Responsibilities may include:

• Planning activities for the day
• Setting up the room
• Collecting names and contact details for the participants
• Supervising the group
• Packing away and any cleaning required

we are looking for a volunteer who:

• likes working with children
• Is reliable
• would suit anyone studying education
• high school students welcome to apply
• Uni students welcome to apply
• Parents welcome to apply, and you can bring your own children too!

There is plenty of support available with this position. If you have never done anything like this before....that's okay! We can provide the support you need to get you started and will be there to guide you. it is a lot of fun, and the children appreciate the time that is spent with them on this day. You will acquire skills that you can use in your everyday life, and also add your experience and skills to your resume.

Volunteering can increase your chances of gaining employment, and will increase your confidence.
