Fernlea’s Shop of Opportunities was established to raise funds to support the organisations work in the community. It also enables us to raise Fernlea’s profile and create networks within the community.

Produce grown in the ’Garden of Opportunities’ at the Op Shop is used by our chef at Fernlea House day respite and to complement our ‘Food is Free’ stand at the shop that supports people in need in our local community.

Under the direction of the Garden Co-coordinator you will be asked to undertake general gardening tasks including:

• Sowing
• Mulching
• Feeding
• Pruning
• Weeding
• Watering
• Mowing

This role would be well suited to someone who is looking for an ongoing/ long term role supporting their local community.
