ABOUT THIS ROLE

YWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Social Media Engagement Intern to join our Communications Team. This internship is a great opportunity for those undertaking tertiary studies and seeking work experience.

This internship opportunity is expected to average five hours a week for six months. There is a total stipend of $3,500 attached to this internship for the full six months. We support remote working and welcome all applications across Australia.

The Social Media Engagement Intern will bring a ‘youth lens’ to our social media content and actively work with our Senior Manager, Communications to create engaging content to grow our audiences across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube and Instagram. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of current social media trends and an ability to not just be a part of the zeitgeist, but to lead it too.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal applicant we are seeking will have:

  • Personal experience using different social media platforms
  • A demonstrated understanding of current social media trends
  • An interest or experience in graphic design and video creation
  • Passionate and enthusiastic with an understanding of feminism and gender equality
