JCI Brisbane has been successful in using social media to engage its audience and is looking to take its online presence to the next level.

To help us create meaningful engagement and further our social impact, we are looking for an energetic individual under 40 who is passionate about using social media for good to take on the Social Media Officer position.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of Social Media Officer will be to lead content creation across JCI Brisbane's social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Working closely with Local President and JCI Brisbane Board, Social Media Officer will help determine the focus of content creation each month and prioritise the effort needed on each of the social media platforms accordingly.

In recent months, JCI Brisbane has created a new Facebook initiative, JCI Together on Facebook. As such, Facebook will be a priority channel that requires Social Media Officer's attention.

About JCI Together

JCI Together is a private Facebook Group initiated by JCI Brisbane and supported JCI Australia as a way to support young people around the world in response to COVID-19.

JCI Together offers industry-standard and high-quality webinar training via Facebook Live and Zoom. JCI Together Private Facebook community currently has over 900 members from over 90 countries.

Key Performance Indicators

General Content Creation

• Producing and scheduling a minimum of 1 piece of content weekly to promote the value and work of JCI across JCI Brisbane's social media platforms

JCI Together-Specific Content Creation

• Producing and scheduling a minimum of 2 pieces of content per webinar to promote the event

Skills and Experiences

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

• Is experienced in content creation for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Is comfortable with or willing to learn how to use Slack, Google Drive, Zoom and Canva.
• Can work independently and remotely with minimal supervision.
• Is able to commit to at least 6 months to the position.
• Have a positive and can-do attitude.
• Is willing to become a member of JCI Brisbane.
• Identifies with JCI's mission, which is to provide development opportunities to empower young people to make positive change.
