A Volunteer opportunity is available with an Organisation that has over thirty years of experience in the delivery of disability, community, youth and children’s services within South Western Sydney. Their Playgroups are the ideal setting for children to learn through play, socialise and make new friends, and they would love to have your assistance.

About The Role:

• Set and pack up of tables, chairs, toys (in line with current social distancing and hygiene measures)
• Assisting with mandatory temperature checks and hand sanitiser distribution
• Cleaning of toys and equipment
• Cleaning of high traffic areas and halls after group is finished
• Time commitment is Mondays and/or Wednesdays during school terms, from 9.30am-1.30pm approximately
• Minimum 6 month commitment to role is preferred
• Site induction, role orientation and COVID-19 protocols briefing provided
• Working With Children Check clearance essential

About You:

• Background in, or definite interest in entering, the early childhood development field
• Have a good rapport with children and an understanding of the importance of play for early development
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, a positive can-do attitude
• Ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team
• Supportive of the Organisation's mission and values
• Must understand and comply to COVID-19 protocols
