We are seeking a volunteer IT Manager to join our senior leadership team and develop and implement an effective IT strategy supporting our small office in Marsfield. We need you to recommend cost effective IT solutions supporting our planned organisational growth, and to develop and deliver relevant technology projects. Additionally you would manage a small team of IT technical support volunteers.

We are looking for a commitment of 8-10 hours a week for a 3 month minimum, with a combination of remote work as well as in our Marsfield office.

We have established schools, shelters and health clinics across Afghanistan and provide sponsorships for widows, orphans and girls' education.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This opportunity requires a volunteer who has the following skills and experiences:

• Demonstrated ability to design and implement a cost effective IT strategy and to successfully deliver on technology projects
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small team of IT technical support staff and to have established or operated an effective IT support model

Technical experience with:

• Installing, setting up, and troubleshooting issues with Windows computers
• Hardware support for desktop computers, printers, copiers, scanners.
• Networking basics - configuring modems, knowledge of IP addresses, DHCP, DNS, port forwarding, troubleshooting, cable management
• Microsoft Windows Server Basics
• Microsoft Active Directory
• Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
• Administering G Suite
• AD Group Policies
• Administering Office 365 including Azure AD, SharePoint Online
• Veeam Backup & Replication
• Managing WordPress and cPanel
• Confluence, Jira and Slack
