Social Media Team Leader (Volunteer)

The Social Media Team Leader provides oversight and increases the effectiveness of FFARQ’s marketing and communications activities, which include but are not limited to, the content management of the FFARQ website and social media platforms, as well as working closely with any Fundraising volunteers to help FFARQ’s fundraising efforts. By promoting and raising awareness of FFARQ, this will allow us to rescue a greater number of animals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the weekly meeting, taking minutes, at which each team member is allocated their tasks/posts for the coming fortnight, and troubleshooting or problem-solving undertaken. Work with the Social Media Assistants to cultivate FFARQ’s social media presence and monitor their performance.
  • Liaise with the Website Administrator to manage content on the FFARQ website
  • Liaise with the Blog and Newsletter Writers for the production and distribution of FFARQ publications and collateral, including the monthly e-newsletter and weekly blogs, consistent with FFARQ branding.
  • Connect with all new Social Media Team Members after on-boarding, ensuring a smooth transition
  • Identify opportunities for, and implement, continuous process improvements
  • Produce monthly basic KPIs for feedback to the team and monitoring by the management committee.

To be considered for the role you will have:

  • Relevant experience and education/training
  • 1 years experience in a similar role (desirable but not necessary)
  • Experience in digital marketing
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team towards achievement of goals and create a positive team culture
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and implement solutions
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills, high attention to detail, and self-motivated
  • Computer literacy skills in Gmail, Google Docs, online systems and social media.

Prior experience working for not-for-profits or social enterprises will be highly regarded.
