PRIMARY PURPOSE Help us elevate our video editing game. Use your great social media content and video editing skills to strengthen Redkite’s online presence to support more families facing cancer. Your volunteering support will enable us to better connect with families needing our essential services, reach fundraisers and donors, and recognise our partners.

DURATION AND LOCATION OF ROLE We are looking for volunteers who are available on an ad-hoc basis, 4 hours per week when required. This role can be undertaken remotely.

RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include working with the marketing team to:

  • Edit video footage
  • Create short social media content videos
  • Plan future social media video content

You will be provided with:

  • The opportunity to develop your existing skills in video editing and social media content
  • Written references (on request)
  • The opportunity to learn from industry professionals in an encouraging work environment
  • Ongoing support from allocated supervisor and Volunteer Coordinator

EXPERIENCE To be considered for this role the following is desired:

  • Must have video editing experience and own software (preferably Premier Pro)
  • Current or previous work experience in the marketing
  • Social media content experience

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES To be considered for this volunteer role you must:

  • Creative
  • Independent and confident to seek help when needed
  • Be 18 or over
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Ensure confidentiality of clients’ personal information
  • Have a commitment to acquiring necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies to best support the team
  • A willingness to act in accordance with both Redkite organisational volunteer policies, procedures, code of conduct and relevant legislative requirements (these will be provided)
