Title: Event Operations and Logistics Volunteer Period: 3-6 months, part-time, flexible hours Reports to: Fundraising and Events Coordinator

The Organization: Cure Cancer is dedicated entirely to funding early career cancer researchers. We identify, assess and fund the research that we believe has the best possible chance of finding a cure. Most importantly, we fund research for ALL cancers. One Australian dies every 12 minutes from Cancer.

We can change this, but only through research. Our vision is to make this the last generation to die from cancer. We’ve come a long way, raising $66.2m and funding over 500 research grants to date. We won’t stop until we eliminate cancer for good.

The Role: The Event Operations and Logistics Volunteer role is ideal for someone seeking a career in events, fundraising and marketing. This part-time role is ideal for someone looking to learn how to work within a fundraising and events team, gain experience from working with multiple stakeholders and learn how to provide excellent customer experience.  The Events & Campaign Volunteers day to day tasks will focus on General Fundraising Campaigns.Key Responsibilities: The Event Operations and Logistics Volunteer role will work with the fundraising and marketing team, and the broader team as required, to ensure efficient operations for campaign roll out. The role will provide support across the following areas: Recruit and build relationships with participating stakeholders in the campaign. Outbound calls and emails to prospective partners and fundraisers. Coordinate logistics for campaign events. Research tasks e.g. restaurants, ambassadors. Support marketing team with ambassador and partner outreach. Acquisition list generation and data entry e.g. surveys and mailings.  Administration tasks for events and community fundraising. Ad hoc tasks as required.

Skills & Experience: Interest in fundraising, event and marketing - Warm personality with strong communication and written skills - Ability to work well under limited supervision - A proven eye for detail - Proficient in MS Office - Confident phone manner

Desired, but not essential: Event or fundraising experience - Experience in Food and Hospitality industry, experience with PowerPoint
