Parks and Wildlife, Northern Territory
Logo for Parks and Wildlife, Northern Territory

The opportunity to become a Campground Caretaker at Munbililla Campground is available from 30th April. A minimum four week placement is available, but longer is preferred. This is the start of the peak visitor season and the campground will get increasingly busy as the dry season begins. The Campground is managed by Rangers based at Nathan River Ranger Station in Limmen National Park.

Volunteers need to be independent, experienced in campground hosting or caretaking and at-ease in remote areas. Air conditioned accommodation is provided. As a thank you for their efforts, Caretakers will receive a free campground pass to NT Parks and Reserves at the end of their placement (some exclusions apply).

Duties include: mowing of lawn, daily clean of amenities, weed control and brush cutting fence lines and being a point of contact for visitors. Further details are provided in the position description available from Parks and Wildlife NT.

Previous experience as a Campground Caretaker is highly desirable. An interview and referee check will be conducted. Parks and Wildlife will reimburse volunteers for the compulsory National Police Check through SafeNT and First Aid training.

Volunteers need to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination status prior to the start of their placement.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
