TheMacedonian Community Welfare Association (MCWA) seeks expressions of interest from qualified applicants for the appointment of newly identified vacancies. With a forward focus and an eye on growth, MCWA looks to strengthen the skills of its current Board by appointing additional experts in the following fields:

- Health - General Practitioner and/or Nursing and/or Occupational Therapist - Finance - Chief Financial Officer and/or Finance Expert - Law - Commercial Lawyer - Compliance – Audit, Quality & Risk Specialist - Marketing – Marketing\, Communication and/or PR specialist

The MCWA Board meets monthly, either in person (located at Maribyrnong) or virtual via Google Meets. In addition, MCWA also conducts two subcommittees: - Finance Committee (monthly) - Governance\, Risk\, Audit & Compliance (bimonthly)

Moving forward, as at FY22 MCWA aims to rollout the following subcommittees: - Clinical Committee (bimonthly) - Client Committee (quarterly)

The additional Board members will be appointed for a period of three years.

About the Organisation

MCWA has been a state-wide not-for-profit community-based organisation for over 37 years. Originally, MCWA was formed to assist the ageing Macedonian Community to maintain their dignity and live a fulfilling life whilst remaining in their homes for as long as possible. Today, MCWA promotes the health and wellbeing of the wider ageing multicultural community.  MCWA provides services that focus on delivering client care whilst addressing cultural needs that our clients expect, appreciate and rely on.

Through a client centred approach, MCWA focuses on providing high quality and culturally sensitive services to the ageing, the elderly, and all people with disabilities. All MCWA services use best practice and compliance frameworks through the lens of wellness and re-ablement, ensuring that the goals and needs of MCWA clients are met.
