Newcastle Fringe Festival is Looking for You!

#SupportArts

Who We Are: Newcastle Fringe Festival is run over 4 to 5 days in the third week of March annually in the city of Newcastle. The festival is maturing and gaining traction - 2021 will be its 6th year and it is an active member of the world fringe movement. It is run entirely by a volunteer board of directors and a handful of volunteers and is now seeking additional assistance in several key areas.

What We Need: If you are interested in becoming a Fringe volunteer, we require a minimum of 2 to 4 hours per week. You will also need to become a member of the Newcastle Fringe (it's free to join) and work from your own home.

Fringe Admin & Events - help keep us all on track by liaising with artists and other volunteers, maintain our database and assist with the organisation of events.

Fringe Digital Marketing - social media, video, online data and website gurus please apply. If you've got graphic design skills as well then we would love to hear from you.

Fringe Finance - Are you an accountant who is seeking a way to give back to your community? If numbers and spreadsheets are your thing you can help.

Fringe Tech - Are you a lighting, sound and audio-visual wizard? You might like to join the Fringe Tech Crew.

Fringe Sponsorship & Development - do you have corporate connections, fundraising experience, and a persuasive manner? Help us secure new sponsors, advertisers in our program and kickstart our fundraising campaign.

Fringe IT - Are you someone we can call when our website decides to misbehave? Knowledge of livestreaming and podcasting would be amazing too. Be our go-to help desk for all things techie.

What We Offer: All our volunteers become part of the Fringe Family. For younger volunteers it's a chance to gain vital experience in the arts sector. For more experienced volunteers it's an opportunity to give back to a sector that has been hard hit by Covid-19. For everyone, it's just plain old good, frenetic fun that culminates in 5 days of Fringe - edgy, diverse, creative, exciting and unique.

How to Apply: If you are interested in volunteering for any of the above positions please email us with your c.v, and a brief covering letter explaining which position you are applying for and why. Tell us how you think you can contribute to Newcastle Fringe. Please put the name of the position in the subject line. Applications are due by Wednesday 17 June 5pm. We will reply to everyone after 17 June.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
