Volunteers Needed: Retail Cashier - Salvos Bundamba, QLD

The Salvation Army Family Stores are vibrant places where great things happen. You can be a part of this by volunteering a few hours per week as a Retail Cashier helping with sales, merchandising and quality control.

A typical day as a Retail Cashier will see you attending to customer needs whilst maintaining a welcoming environment, contributing to a positive in-store experience. The Retail Cashier role also supports the Store Manager in operations of the store ensuring quality customer service, efficient and diligent processing of sales and accurate tally of takings, as well as maintaining the general appearance and upkeep of the point of sale area. Equally important, all volunteers are responsible for fostering a culture of inclusiveness and community spirit amongst the volunteer team which will enhance the customer experience in the store.

Time Commitment

  • Various shifts available Monday - Saturday

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • Customer service, retail or merchandising experience would be beneficial, but not essential as on the job training and induction are provided for the right candidates
  • Prior experience in cash handling roles is highly desirable

Mandatory Requirements

  • A Criminal History Check (National Police Check) is required for the role
  • Blue Card may be required if working with team members under the age of 18
  • Complete TSA mandatory training and induction modules, and any other training as required

Various positions and shifts are available throughout the week - please advise of your availability and experience within your expression of interest
