Business Development Associate (Internship)

Role Responsibilities: Business Development

• Research, analyse and develop a retail database.
• Contact prospects via cold calls and/or cold emails.
• Set up sales meetings for team manager.
• Provide additional analysis and commentary on channel performance as required.

Account Management

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with all customers.
• Establish a call cycle to visit existing accounts on-site to review performance, evaluate new opportunities, and assist with effective merchandising in-store.
• Liaise with Stock Coordinator on collect, dispatch, deliver orders into stores.

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Previous experience in account acquisition via cold calls highly desirable.
• Strong Excel and Word skills essential.
• An entrepreneurial and agile mindset essential.
• A previous successful experience is of wholesale channel/key account management highly desirable.
• Previous experience reporting on sales performance and interpreting financial data to identify trends and opportunities highly desirable.
• Experience working in the FMCG / Grocery sector an advantage.
• Experience working in a high growth small - medium-sized enterprise valuable.
• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
• Previous experience working in a social enterprise setting desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of SisterWorks Inc.
• Cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Demonstrated flexibility in working both autonomously and within teams.

Compulsory requirements:
