Our NFP organisation houses women and children experiencing homelessness due to family violence or other critical life events.  We provide a safe, clean and family friendly environment for our guests, until they are able to secure a permanent home.  The house, with four guest rooms for women and their children,  feels very much like a big family home.   Our guests have professional social workers and other supports to support them with their specific needs. As caretaker, you would be the friendly face that makes our guests feel secure and comfortable, and help with the care of the house and garden. Also report any maintenance issues to the managers.  You must have a  compassionate friendly personality,   enjoy living  with persons from a variety of cultures, like kids, and  be able to take care of a home, including routine cleaning and some gardening.

As caretaker, you will have your own room with ensuite, and full use of all the shared facilities, including a well fitted out kitchen, laundry, garden and  internet. You are able to continue with any study or part time work, so long as you are in the house at night and for some time each day.
