There are many people in our community finding it difficult to cook for themselves, often due to the lack of mobility and/or not being able to leave their home due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Meals Delivery Service provides a range of nutritious fresh meals delivered to the door of people who have registered for this service. The support this service offers will make a difference in their lives.

As a Volunteer Meals Delivery Driver you will be assisting people to have access to nutritious food by delivering meals to their door using UC vehicles.

Commitment Time Hrs required: 4 or 8 hours per week Delivery time is between 10am – 2pm on Tuesdays and Fridays Locations: Metro (Northern, Southern, East and Western) Meal Collection points: Adelaide CBD and/or Trinity Gardens

Volunteers will be placed on a roster and required to attend their shift or advise when unable to attend, to ensure that Uniting Communities can make alternative arrangements to cover the shift.

For your safety as a Volunteer Meals Delivery Driver, you will be provided with a photo name badge, hand sanitizer and will not be required to handle money or paperwork.

Requirements of the role Volunteers will be required to: • Have a current National Police Check • Have a current SA drivers licence • Complete the following training: • Online drivers module • Manual handling • Infection control • Food handling

Due to COVID-19 restriction we are recruiting people who are under 63 years, however, we will be reviewing this once the restrictions are lifted.
