In summary, the key duties exercised by the Treasurer are:

• Provide financial control and oversight of finance matters, on behalf of the TADSA Board. • Prepare an annual budget for consideration and approval by the Board of Directors. • Prepare monthly financial report/s and present to the Board of Directors including performance to budget and financial forecast. • Prepare the Annual Financial Report for the Auditor • Implement any changes required by the Auditor • Maintain a Forward Capital Plan. • Ensure that TADSA staff and volunteers have the necessary policies, procedures and support to enable them to discharge their financial responsibilities. • Oversight of the management of the organisation’s finances and ensure that expenditure and income are within approved limits. • Oversight of the expenditure of Coordinators within their delegated authorities • Ensure that appropriate bank accounts are established and oversee that appropriate operators are approved and registered • Oversight of banking to ensure that moneys received are banked regularly and that accounts outstanding are paid on time. • Oversight of GST, PAYG, Superannuation, Payroll and Bank Reconciliation issues. • Participate in the preparation of grant and funding proposals.

The position of Treasurer is central to the governance of TADSA. The Board provides the governance and strategic direction and meets monthly.
