Skillset Senior College is an innovative, independent, senior secondary school based in the Central West of NSW with campus locations currently at Bathurst and Dubbo. The Skillset Senior College caters for a range of young people in our community who thrive in a supportive and small learning environment, where the focus is on student well-being and personal achievement. The school currently has around 140 enrolments and delivers NESA approved curriculum for years 10, 11 and 12. The school has recognition as a Special Assistance School as the majority of our students face many personal and educational challenges that require a high level of learning adjustment strategies to support their success. Skillset Senior College is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors who together possess a range of skills and experience across education, business, school leadership and legal domains. The Board is seeking applications for two Director positions, with a particular focus on:

• candidates with strong financial management experience and skills, and;
• candidates with skills and experience in the education, disability or community services and health sector.

ASTI are strongly encouraged to apply for these positions. The role of Director is a rewarding one, where your accumulated experience can make a real difference at the Board table, leading to more informed decision making and better outcomes for the whole school community. The successful applicants will need to commit to a minimum of quarterly Board meetings and associated reading, professional development and attendance at various events from time to time. Although the roles are not remunerated, approved Director related expenses will be fully reimbursed and approved professional development will be paid for.
