Key responsibilities

Collaborate with FECAA’s conference committee to develop a communication strategy for the 2021 conference and other programs/events by:

  • Managing and posting on FECAA’s social media platform (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Managing the contact list
  • Developing email content and using Mailchimp to communicate with potential audience
  • Releasing a monthly newsletter (alongside FECAA's Content Writer)
  • Supporting committee and FECAA Board Members to reach out to stakeholders outside the community (edit emails, acquire and compile contact details),
  • Setting up and managing Eventbrite account (tickets sale).

Selection Criteria

As the ideal candidate you will:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Be a competent user of Mailchimp and Eventbrite
  • Be organised and be able to adhere to set deadlines
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate flexibility, patience and cross-cultural communication
  • Be capable to take on a leadership role with a pro-active approach
  • Have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Be responsible and accountable about your availability.

Given the nature of the role, volunteers can work remotely. However, there will be the need to attend conference calls and perhaps meet with State/Territory representatives.
