An independent charity that specialises in dementia and aged care, is seeking Concierge Volunteers to welcome visitors of their aged care residents, safely and securely, during this current COVID-19 pandemic.

About the Role:

• Welcome visitors to aged care home
• Review each visitor against the entry criteria as set for the current pandemic
• Provide access to visitors that comply
• Restrict access to visitors who don’t comply and explain to them why
• Document visitor access and those where access has been denied
• Suitable for those aged between 17 and 64
• Time commitment is at least one shift per week, for a minimum of 6 months
• Shifts currently available are Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays - 2pm to 4pm; Wednesdays - 9.30am-12pm
• Training and orientation provided onsite
• Please note that this is a low risk role, as there is no direct contact with the residents

About You:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills - including clear verbal communication
• Empathy and patience
• Capacity to relate to a diverse range of people
• Drivers licence & ability to travel to and from facility
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Agree to a Police check before commencement of role
• Must have had a current Fluvax and be able to show proof of same
