Op Shop Sorting Assistant (North Hobart)

Ten Lives
Logo for Ten Lives

The Op Shop Ten Lives Op Shops raise much needed funds for the animal welfare charity through the resale of quality pre-loved items. It also has a resident cat available for adoption - these kitties do a very good job supervising the shop!

The Opportunity We are looking for warm and friendly people who have a passion for making a difference in the community, the environment and animal welfare. The function of this role is to sort and pack all incoming donations. This involves working in our sorting warehouse in central Hobart (Argyle Street). If you are the type of person who has the need to keep your hands busy and the urge to get stuck in and sort things out - you'll be in your element in the sorting house!

The Impact Ten Lives is completely self-funded. The Cat Centre sees a cat or kitten coming through its doors every half hour and will see over 10,000 vet procedures performed every year. Our Op Shop is central in raising the funds needed to achieve this. The positive effects of the Op Shop are far reaching and don't only benefit Ten Lives. Garments and products are re-used and diverted away from landfill which insures we do our part to protect our planet. We also provide an economical alternative to the community by making sure we have a fantastic selection of pre-loved, high quality goods - at a price that is easy on the wallet. You will b¬e sure to find a perfect bargain for yourself too 😊

With your help the Op Shop will continue to thrive and contribute to the care of all the cats and kittens that come to Ten Lives, while also caring for the community and the planet.
