Love sparkle and neatness?  Want to be a part of a cause helping others in need? At our Salvation Army Samaritan House in Geelong, we are looking for a friendly and committed Cleaning Assistant to help ensure our centre is a clean, safe and healthy environment for people in need.

The Cleaning Assistant role is ideal for someone who loves to see a sparkling, safe and healthy work environment whilst keen to be a part of a team making a real difference to our community. This role will provide skill development, build self-confidence and experience in a supportive work environment, whilst helping us bring HOPE where it’s needed most.

A typical day for our Cleaning Assistant includes dusting, vacuuming, tidying, wash and dry dishes, wipe down benches, emptying bins and ensuring hazards are identified and controlled.  Attendance at weekly team meetings is also encouraged to ensure your contributions and ideas are heard and actioned.

Time Commitment

Shifts available daily Monday to Friday - school hours negotiable. Please advise your availability in "Interests, skills & qualifications"

Mandatory Requirements of the Role

  • Fully complete The Salvation Army's volunteer registration process
  • Integrity checks as required
  • Complete TSA induction modules  and any other training as required (e.g. Child safe organisation induction)
