genU Letter Project Volunteer

In times of adversity at genU, we come together to support each other.
We reach out to bring a smile to someone’s face, to brighten their day from afar. To offer support, when we cannot hold their hand. To bring hope. To be there when others are not. To build a community of people working together for inclusion, when society needs us to be apart. That’s the foundation of the genU letter project. To connect people with someone needing a little connection at this time, we’re going back to an old tradition of the written word, sent in the mail. It can be a drawing, a piece of art, a photo, a story, an anecdote from life, to bring hope, to provide connection and to build a community. Join us on this journey to brighten someone’s day.

We are seeking people who love to share and connect with those who need it the most, through the art of putting pen to paper!

The Essentials: We ask you to write two letters per month to an aged care resident/client to help reduce a sense of isolation (sent via genU to maintain confidentiality).

Regular assistance is available to you via the genU Volunteers Office to support you along the way!

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
