Since 1982, Keep Australia Beautiful Victoria’s Tidy Towns and Cities Awards have been recognising, celebrating and sharing environmental achievements and strong community spirit amongst a range of applicants including community groups, education institutions, businesses and councils across Victoria.

These initiatives empower people, change behaviour, protect the environment, reduce waste, engage youth and indigenous communities, and promote community spirit and resiliency.

EXPERTISE REQUIRED: We are looking for judges with expertise in Education, Indigenous projects, or Culture and Heritage to judge these categories for the awards.

THE ROLE: Our judges volunteer their time and expertise, and are a valuable part of Tidy Towns & Sustainable Cities Award experience. You will assess entries for specific categories within your specialist field, and be on a senior panel of judges auditing the results.

REQUIREMENTS • Availability to complete desktop judging in late July (estimated 2-4 hours) • Availability to complete entrant interviews in August (estimated 3-4 hours)

Reimbursement

A donation of $1000 will be made to judges assesing the Indigenous projects category

Requirements: • Volunteer experience • Understanding of community and environmental projects • Willingness to inspire community members • Curiosity and enthusiasm to inspire others • Proven expertise in education, indigenous projects or culture and heritage.
