GetUp Climate Organising Fellowship

GetUp!

GetUp Organising Fellowship 2020

For years, climate denying politicians and coal lobbyists have traded our planet for profit, setting us hurtling towards catastrophe. But another future is possible. We can create a future where our forests are flourishing, our systems are just and our communities are thriving.

But to do it, we need a movement of everyday people, demanding change now.

That's why we're asking you to join the Climate Organising Fellowship.

What's involved in the Fellowship?

Leaders will be trained and supported to build teams and lead powerful campaigns in priority electoral seats.

  • 5-10 hours per week time commitment, including a one day induction on Saturday 2 May;
  • Weekly coaching or training;
  • Workbook with best practice guidelines for getting started;
  • Opportunities to meet with and learn from other climate activists across the country.

Our selection criteria: You are...

  • Available to commit to 5-10 hours per week, and can commit to this work for a year;
  • A big believer in people power, and share our vision for channelling it to achieve climate justice;
  • Kind and patient in teams;
  • Committed to diversity and inclusion;
  • Able to clearly and effectively communicate with members of your community;
  • Hungry to learn and take action.

At GetUp, we know our capacity to drive progressive change is increased when our cohort has a diversity of backgrounds and experience. We are always actively looking for applicants from a diverse range of genders, cultures, language groups, abilities, and experiences to apply.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
