About Pets of the Homeless Pets Of The Homeless (POTH) help keep vulnerable people and their pets together by alleviating the burden of providing essential pet care during times of hardship. We believe that the companionship and the therapeutic value of pets is immeasurable and nothing should come between a loving owner and their pet. Not homelessness. Not financial hardship. Not domestic violence. Pets are family – and nothing should stand in the way of that.

About the Role Pets Of The Homeless is seeking volunteers to join our Events Management team. Together with our Events Coordinator and other team members, you will assist in organising and attending fundraising and community events. Creativity and enthusiasm welcomed through all stages from planning, running the event and carrying out the post-event evaluation.

Key Responsibilities The role includes but is not limited to:

• Contribute to the development of the organisation's yearly event/fundraising plan.
• Participate in all aspects of the event planning and execution, including logistical implementation of events, sourcing donations and more.
• Working closely with the events team including attendance at regular team meetings.
• Attend and manage events and event volunteers.

Requirements

• Team player
• Must be reliable and proactive.
• Strong attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good IT knowledge particularly with Google Drive (Docs and Sheets)
• Previous event planning/execution experience, an advantage.
• Time requirements are flexible, however we estimate the role would require 10 - 12 hours per month which includes attending meetings at our office in Cheltenham
• The successful candidate will need to complete a police check.
