Who: An enthusiastic and compassionate volunteer to help out in our Bushfire Relief Call Centre

When: 9am - 5pm, 1 to 2 days per week (we are flexible as long as its Monday to Friday, we can also be flexible with the times)

Where: This position is based at our Central Office, 43 Prospect Street, Box Hill VIC 3128

What is the Bushfire Relief Call Centre?: A central site that has been set up to help assist and deliver relief to people who have lived through the bushfires. We have already spoken to over 800 people and have been providing assistance in conjunction with the welfare network of St Vincent de Paul.

What might I be doing? : Some tasks include:

  • Verifying and processing relief payments
  • Responding to emails
  • Coordinating with people affected by bushfires to gather information and documentation required for processing (email or phone)

Requirements: We would love someone who has excellent communication skills, a compassionate nature and a drive to do good. Coming from an administration/ data entry background would be advantageous. A Working with Children’s Check and Police Check is required before you commence, arranged and paid for by St Vincent de Paul.

By uniting thousands of volunteers to help offer a hand up to people in need, we can break the cycle of homelessness
