Are you handy with the BBQ tongs? Do you love the smell of sausages and onions?
QSHBA is a volunteer-run not-for-profit group that is very active in the community, with 4 permanent performance bands: the Queensland Mounted Infantry Historical Troop Band, the Queensland Show Band, the Bayside Youth Band and QSHBA Drum Corps. Our bands perform regularly at community events including ANZAC Day services, Bayside Carols, Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers and tours of RSLs and residential care homes.
With current volunteers focused on teaching and performance roles, we need a team of volunteers who can help us raise valuable funds to keep us entertaining the public and sharing our history.
Volunteers can take the lead to manage the BBQs held regularly at Manly West Bunnings and the Manly Markets, or come along for 2-3 hours for a shift.
You will be assisting with the set up, operation and/or clean up/pack up of the BBQs as well as selling to the the public.
Short and long term volunteers are welcomed.
