It isn't an accident that Queensland Services Heritage Band Association musicians sound so good! Whether performing locally or on tour, the Sound Engineer is an important part of the performance. Their attention to detail and skills with a mixing desk balance the vocalists and instruments to ensure the best experience for our varied audiences. While past experience may be an advantage, we welcome enthusiastic amateurs committed to learning and supporting the team.
QSHBA is a volunteer-run not-for-profit group that is very active in the community, with 4 permanent performance bands: the Queensland Mounted Infantry Historical Troop Band, the Queensland Show Band, the Bayside Youth Band and QSHBA Drum Corps. Our bands perform regularly at community events including ANZAC Day services, Bayside Carols, Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers and tours of RSLs and residential care homes.
Volunteers will have an opportunity to master the mixing desk, learn more about Queensland's musical history and contribute to a group that supports the broader community.
Your role will also involve the careful set up, pack down and storage of equipment (at our premises).
