Ardoch is a national children’s education charity, working hard to improve educational outcomes for children and young people in disadvantaged communities by providing vital learning and wellbeing resources and activities.

What does that mean? We train and mobilise volunteers to schools and early learning centres, with a focus on building strong foundations of education such as literacy and numeracy. We broaden horizons for children by providing access to excursions and inspiring learning experiences. Basically, we’re showing up for the kids who need our help the most.

In 2019 Ardoch volunteers supported 18,715 children and young people by contributing 35,323 hours of their time working with teachers in schools and early learning centres. Now we need YOUR help to reach even more students in 2020.

This opportunity involves volunteering for 2 hours a week. You will work with students at the same time and at the same school/centre each week, for a minimum of 6 months (1 year preferable).

With us you can gain:·

  • Ongoing professional development support, including specific early years program training where required
  • A valued place in our vibrant volunteer community;
  • Bucket loads of the warm fuzzy feelings you get from being an important part of a young person’s education journey
