We think that all people with learning disabilities and or autism should be able to live their lives the way they want to. You can help make this vision a reality by becoming a Gig Buddy volunteer. You will be paired up with somebody with a learning disability and or autism who has similar interests to you, to attend events, try new music together , explore Sydney and share your passions. We are seeking motivated, inventive people who are positive about diversity and want to be a part of the growing community of Gig Buddies in Sydney.You would need to commit to attending at least one catch up  a month with your buddy. This catch up could be as casual as meeting up for a chat and a coffee or as adventurous as going to musical festival together. It is up to you and your new buddy to decide on the catch up you would like to enjoy together each month.

You don't need to have any experience of working with people with learning disabilities and or autism – but you need to be committed, a good listener, interested in promoting people's rights and well-being through supporting social inclusion!

You will gain skills in advocacy, supporting people with learning disabilities and community development. As a volunteer, you will be fully trained and supported.
