Customer Service and Administration Support - s2s - TAS - Battery Point
The Smith FamilyStudent2student is one of The Smith Family’s most impactful programs supporting reading outcomes for children and this is your chance to make a difference. Administration and Customer Service Assistant (s2s) volunteers participate in a range of activities including handling customer service phone and email queries and entering managing important data. This role focuses on supporting the local s2s Program Specialist but may also include supporting interstate team members. Through this role, volunteers provide critical background support for the educational and social development of disadvantaged young Australians to succeed at school, so they can create better futures for themselves.
Key responsibilities: • Data entry and excel spreadsheet management • Providing excellent customer service to readers and families involved in the program • Liaising with buddy schools and facilitators to support the program • Actioning and responding to administrative queries and requests • General administrative duties including mail handling
Essential Competencies / Skills: • Strong computer skills including database management and using current
Microsoft Office programs • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written • Highly effective customer service and interpersonal skills • Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Desirable Competencies / Skills: • Competency in operating database or CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics
Essential Experience / Education: • Experience using Excel and Outlook programs
Desirable Experience / Education: • Awareness of the community and education services sector and issues affecting disadvantaged people • Experience in a similar position providing administrative and customer service assistance within a professional and confidential environment
