The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Briar Terrace (St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne).

Come along and have a chat and provide emotional support to our socially isolated clients. Volunteers who visit Briar Terrace find it enormously rewarding.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• To provide emotional support for those who visit Briar Terrace (Briar Terrace is a safe space where people who are socially isolated can go during the day, for gentle conversation and a hot drink).
• Making clients tea/coffee
• Taking clients on short walks if able
• Engaging in conversation with clients

Skills and Experience:

• Volunteer will need to be empathetic, a good listener and be non-judgmental
