Do you love engaging with your local community to support those most in need? The Red Shield Appeal has a variety of volunteer roles available, all of which help the Salvos raise funds for vulnerable people, transforming lives across Australia. We are looking for some friendly and energetic people to volunteer for 2-3 hours. We can’t do it without your help!

Suitable For: All types of volunteers including families (children 12-18 years only - must be accompanied at all times by parent/guardian), corporate groups, all age groups and abilities. People with experience in community engagement or fundraising are particularly encouraged to apply

We have a number of volunteer roles available, for every level of experience during this national campaign, held in May each year. This nationwide appeal draws in volunteers and generous donors from every neighbourhood in Australia, each driven to do their part to make a real difference to those experiencing homelessness, addiction and crisis.

This is an exceptional opportunity both for those who are seasoned in community engagement and volunteering, or for someone new to volunteering that would like to give back with this respected and well-known organisation.

Roles include intersection collection and static site collecting at shopping centres and supermarkets. All locations, collection dates and roles are subject to approval with local council and  relevant authorities. A reasonable level of fitness is an inherant requirement of some roles.

Red Shield Appeal 2020 Geelong and regions will take place between 18th - 31st of May. Please indicate availability and the type of volunteering roles which interest you.

All roles will include a training and induction component. Completion of the Salvation Army Mission Volunteer registration process is a requirement of these roles.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside others as you raise funds, making a real and positive difference to those experiencing homelessness, addiction and crisis through the support and services of The Salvation Army.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
