Looking to volunteer in a retail environment?  The Salvation Army Heathridge Corps Op Shop in WA is looking for new volunteers to help bring HOPE where it’s needed most.  Be a part of this by volunteering just a few hours per week as a Retail Assistant in our store.

The Salvation Army, Heathridge Corps is a vibrant, respectful and inclusive community of people who serve our local community through various services and programs.  We have a faith community, children's programs, bible study groups, Doorways Program (food and financial assistance), a cafe area which serve snacks and drinks as well as our Op Shop.

The Op Shop forms a vital part of all we do here in Heathridge and provides much needed funds to help us to do what we do here - it is a place where generous people donate amazing items, customers enjoy an ever-changing selection of goods, volunteers gain friendships and share experiences, all whilst raising much-needed funds to assist the most vulnerable in your community.  You can be a part of this by volunteering a few hours per week as a Retail Assistant helping with sales, merchandising and quality control.

A typical day will see you supporting the Store Manager, attending to customer needs whilst sorting donated goods and maintaining a welcoming environment, contributing to a positive in-store experience.  Your attention to detail and a desire for order and sparkle will be assets in this role as will your upbeat and friendly attitude.

A reasonable level of fitness is required for this role as it requires periods of standing, walking and lifting/moving donated items. Some heavy lifting may occasionally be required.

As this is a growing and vibrant community we are offering multiple positions for this volunteer role.  This is a great chance to work in a positive, supportive team, meet people, build great customer relations and raise much needed funds to support the good work of The Salvation Army in the community.
