Reception & Meet and Greet Volunteer - Port Lincoln

At the heart of The Port Lincoln Salvation Army  is a passion to support the basic needs of individuals experiencing disadvantage and communities in times of difficulty.  The Reception and Meet and Greet volunteer provides the initial point of contact for clients accessing Community Support Services for Emergency Relief.  The Meet and Greet volunteer will greet clients, promoting the welcoming environment of The Salvation Army and direct them to their appointment with our Case Workers, refer clients to other services, or provide food parcels of other forms of material aid relief in addition to providing general reception duties.

As the centre is open 8:45am to 2:45pm - Mondays and Wednesdays the time requirements for this role are non-negotiable, however the role is suitable for job share. Please advise if you are available for either Monday or Wednesday or both in your expression of interest.

Additional requirements:

  • Experience in Reception and Meet and Greet roles and customer service preferred but not essential
  • Complete The Salvation Army's volunteer registration process
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current Criminal History Check (Police Check) required undertaken by The Salvation Army at no cost to applicant
  • Complete TSA induction modules and any other training as required
