The Cleaning Assistant role is ideal for someone who loves to see a sparkling, safe and healthy work environment whilst keen to be a part of a team making a real difference to our community. This role will provide skill development, build self-confidence and experience in a supportive work environment, whilst helping us bring HOPE where it’s needed most.

A typical day for our Cleaning Assistant includes dusting, vacuuming, tidying, emptying bins and ensuring hazards are identified and controlled.  Attendance at weekly team meetings is also encouraged to ensure your contributions and ideas are heard and actioned.   A reasonable level of fitness is required to perform the inherent requirements of this role.

Mandatory Requirements Of The Role

  • Fully complete The Salvation Army's (TSA) mission volunteer induction, training and registration process.
  • Complete integrity checks as required by TSA, TSA is a childsafe workplace.
  • Current Criminal History Check (Police Check).

Roster & Time Commitment

  • Shifts available either Monday or Wednesday mornings approximately 4hrs/week.
  • Shift times are negotiable.
