About Anglicare WA: Anglicare WA is a not for profit community service organization. For over 40 years we have been a trusted partner helping communities thrive. We offer 86 services in 44 locations across Western Australia, including services that support families and young people, provide financial counselling, advocacy and mental health support and seek to influence policy makers and drive positive and lasting change.

As a Customer Service volunteer, you will work with the rest of the Op Shop team to provide exceptional customer service to our customers and donors. Customer service is a vital component of creating a friendly and inclusive environment for our customers. You will be a friendly face that customers can look to for advice or assistance, and play a key role in making sure the Op Shop is a welcoming space, and looks great! Your day to day role would look like:

• Greeting and engaging with customers and making sure they have a positive experience • General housekeeping duties • Keeping the Fitting rooms neat and tidy • Making sure all clothing and other items on the shop floor are kept organised • If you are interested, you will also have the opportunity to process sales and learn/be involved in basic cash handling

About You:

People interested in volunteering as a Customer Service volunteer should enjoy interacting with others, and have the following skills or attributes: • Strong customer service • Desire to help others • Good communication skills • Ability to work well in a team and autonomously • Be fit and able to lift 16kgs • Cash handling skills - desired but not essential

However, the most important thing we are looking for is someone who shares and models Anglicare WA’s values, is a motivated and friendly team player and has a willingness to learn.

Timing: We are looking for volunteers available to assist in our Morley store at the following times: 9am -1pm Mondays 10am -1pm Tuesdays 1pm – 5pm Tuesdays and Thursdays 1pm-4pm Wednesdays

Essential Screening and Checks Before commencing all volunteers will need to: • Hold a National Police Clearance valid within the last 12 months, or be willling to apply for one. (If you do not have one of these, we can assist you to apply.) • Complete Anglicare WA’s volunteer induction steps and training.
