Meetings and time commitment • The board of directors meets on the second Monday of every month at 6.30 pm at the organisation’s premises at Fernberg Road, Paddington. • Sub-Committees of the board meet an average of once per month and board members may be required to participate actively and attend the majority of sub-committee meetings. • Board members are asked to attend special events or workshops, as they are determined, and likely to be on around 6 – 8 occasions each year.

About the Role Aunties and Uncles Queensland is an early intervention and prevention program helping vulnerable and socially isolated children aged 2-11 years, within the greater Brisbane and Gold Coast areas. As an incorporated not-for-profit organisation, we are overseen by an expertise-based board of voluntary directors.
Major responsibilities of Directors: • Oversight of program implementation and evaluation • Organisation of the board of directors and committees. • Chair and actively drive performance of the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications sub-committee, in line with that committee’s Terms of Reference • Formulation and oversight of policies and procedures • Financial management, including development and oversight of the annual budget and revenue raising strategies • Workforce planning, development and evaluation • Monitoring and review of organisational and program performance • Promotion of the organisation • Lead and identify opportunity for fundraising and advocacy opportunities for ongoing and recurrent funding opportunities.
