Why we need you:

At Global Hope Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre we are housing around 110 former street boys, rescued from all over Kenya. Our greatest challenge currently is that we have run out of space, the house is becoming unsafe for our boys and we risk being evicted.

We have found land, an incredible 1.5 acres just out of Ngong town and not far from our current centre for 15 million Kenyan shillings or $150,000 USD. The landlord has agreed to hold the land for 6 months ONLY to give us time to fundraise.

We have generous local and international supporters READY TO CONSTRUCT everything as soon as we have land.

We have FOUR months left, now which is why we are expanding the volunteer team to focus on fundraising for the land, as well as growing the foundation.

What we need!

• Event organisers and people with fundraising ideas
• Grant applications for fundraising
• Applications via phone and email to businesses for donations
• SEO for our website
• Content writing for social media and blog posts
• We are a small team, so need people who are willing to work hard and autonomously. In return, you will be able to see the results and impact of the work you have done as we are in daily contact with the projects in Kenya.

Additional Information:

• This is a remote volunteering placement, so all contact with the Volunteer Co-ordinator will be via phone and email
• We need commitment for at least 5 hours a week and for a minimum of 6 months.
• Volunteering experience is desirable, but we are particularly looking for people with passion and who are able to commit their time to the foundation
• Communication is VERY important, and we expect our volunteers to make contact with us on a weekly basis for updates
