Dymocks Children's Charities is an Australian not-for-profit (NFP) organisation providing high quality books to schools, education providers and partners in priority areas, in order to improve children's literacy outcomes.

Through our unique literacy support programs such as Book Bank, Duck Library and Library Regenerations, we cultivate and inspire a love for books and reading in children from an early age. Our purpose is to change kids' lives – one book at a time! We have an opportunity for an experienced and committed individual to join our Board at an exciting time of growth. Ideally, you will have some experience working with NFP/Charity Boards or Committees where a high % of income is generated through fundraising initiatives.

You should have a passion for making a difference to the lives of children through literacy, ideally having a personal connection to the cause. Fundraising, marketing and communication skills in particular are desired for this post.

Board members should expect to participate in 4 Board meetings per annum, and to actively promote and participate in fundraising events and initiatives where possible.

This is a voluntary, unpaid position.
