Logo for HammondCare Australia

olunteering with HammondCare At Home is one way you can give something back to the aged or frail in our society. Not only does volunteering have a profound effect on the person you spend time with, but you'll be rewarded too.

Spend one hour per week with someone who may be lonely or socially isolated in the Farmborough Heights area. We're looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals who can sit and have a chat, reminisce and talk about topics of interest with an elderly gentleman. He's interested in history, particularly American history. He's interested in talking short and gentle walks around his hilly neighbourhood.

It's an ongoing opportunity for 12 months or longer during the week (between Monday to Friday), so this volunteer role will suit someone who lives locally.

Successful applicants will be required to complete a national police check which HammondCare will organise and pay for. You'll need to be aged 18 years or older and have your own car transportation. All HammondCare volunteers receive training and on-going support from a local HammondCare Volunteer Coordinator. We'll arrange for a police background check.

When you submit your enquiry, please include details on why you're interested in volunteering.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
