Wash Against Waste Volunteer

Mount Alexander Sustainability Group

Mount Alexander Sustainability Group (MASG) has recently upgraded the Wash Against Waste trailer/vehicle and education kit for schools and the community.

The Wash Against Waste Trailer is the flagship of MASG’s Zero Net Emissions target. The first of its kind, the trailer was built in 2010 to provide a self-contained and mobile unit to service public events. Over the years the trailer has created a legacy as a successful and practical tool to significantly reduce waste at events.

We are seeking volunteers for 2-hour shifts at events as required. This is a fun, sociable role that would suit anyone interested in sustainability and taking part in actively preventing waste.

Duties include washing dishes at events in and around Mount Alexander Shire, collecting dirty dishes and returning them to the trailer, and take clean crockery to food vendors. It is a physical role, and requires good mobility and a bit of muscle!

Support and training will be provided by MASG

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
